Often a day that is overlooked by many. This day has been set aside to remember the service and sacrifice of our nations service men and women. Some have given their lives in the line of duty, as close to home as the 875th is to Southside. All have served who are involved with the military, whether they were a soldier or a list of family and friends in waiting each day during their last deployment.
For those who gave all , we keep their family in prayer and remember their sacrifice , to those who served and returned safely , we acknowledge your service to God and country. To those who fell injured , know that you will be remembered in thought and prayers along with those respective families.
The sacrifices made have not been made in vein, nor were they empty. They were made to deliver an oppressed people from terror and to preserve our nations security as a beacon of freedom to those who dont have it. May God Bless those troops and families that have served and will continue to serve. May his hedge of protection be always present , and his blessing many.
As I was reminded yesterday at a Vet get together at our local Lakeside park, we need not forget the cost of freedom, what it means to have the right to worship God as we beleive we should, and what it means to others in foriegn lands ,when our military brings that same hope to their doorstep. Thank you doesnt seem quite adequate. Know that we as a nation and as fellow Christians are thankful and greatful for you service and sacrifice. _________________ God Bless !
